New ERP System Coming Soon
One of the key challenges businesses and organizations have in this modern world is the management of data, and the Abbotsford School District is no different. The district needs an enterprise resource planning system (ERP) that is robust, adaptable, modern and secure. In any given year, the district processes millions of lines of data. Tracked over Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, work orders, school bank accounts, etc., the complexity grows exponentially as do the challenges of managing and securing the information.
One of the pillars of our strategic plan is optimized resources and vital to the foundation of that pillar is the District’s ERP. Knowing the importance of the project and looking to ensure that we have the best and most effective system possible, the District has decided to issue a request for proposals from software vendors for its ERP. This process will begin in July with a tentative project completion date of January, 2024. It’s a big undertaking, but we feel we’re up for the challenge and know that the end result will help support not only the one pillar of the strategic plan, but the mission of the district as a whole.
