One of the key challenges businesses and organizations have in this modern world is the management of data, and the Abbotsford School District is no different.  The district needs an enterprise resource planning system (ERP) that is robust, adaptable, modern and secure. In any given year, the district processes millions of lines of data. Tracked over Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, work orders, school bank accounts, etc., the complexity grows exponentially as do the challenges of managing and securing the information.

Did you know the Abbotsford School District is a registered charitable organization? The district has been a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency since 1975 and is permitted to issue receipts for donations it receives that the donor may in turn use to claim a tax credit.

The donations we receive are many – and for many reasons. Over the last few years, we’ve issued receipts totaling nearly $400,000. It breaks down year by year as:

Happy New Year everyone – and with that comes a new tax year! We know many of you are eager to get going on completing your 2021 tax return and we want to let you know that our Payroll staff are busy preparing T4s for our employees. We are targeting having T4s out prior to the end of February, but all current employees will receive their T4 via email by February 28th.  As well, T4s for 2021 and prior years will be available on the AMS portal site (https://ams.abbyschools.ca/live/servlet/Broker). Once they are completed, you will be able to find your T4s here:

We have all heard about and maybe even have been directly impacted by the ongoing supply chain issues that the world is experiencing as a result of the pandemic. During the 2020 2021 school year, the School District’s Purchasing Department was faced with many challenges in sourcing and supplying resources critical to our operations – not just for regular day to day operations, but also for following the guidelines of our pandemic response.
